This certificate is for students with no health background, and it is taken online. You learn at your own pace with a lecturer always available to guide you when needed.
By completing this course, you’ll gain practical skills and knowledge to care for people’s basic health, safety, and wellbeing needs. You’ll also understand your role and responsibilities, including how to protect and support vulnerable people. These skills will not only prepare you for daily care duties but also give you a strong foundation for your future career in health and wellbeing.

Requirements
· 18 years of age and over
· IELTs academic overall band score of 5.5 (no band lower than 5) or recognised equivalent
· Clear criminal check
· Physically able and willing to work with the vulnerable person
Pathways
This certificate is equivalent to the New Zealand Level 3 so can be used as entry to the Kalandra Level 4 Face to Face Programme.
